Change Computer’s IP Address From the Command Prompt

In this video I have shown how you can change the IP Address of PC with command prompt.
In this example I am trying to set the IP address of my Wi-Fi adapter to the below mentioned static IP.

You can change the details as per your need.
The commands to set mentioned static IP is shown below.

1. Open the command prompt in Administrator mode. Search for CMD in start menu, Then right click and select ‘Run as Administrator’.

2. Now to view all your network adapters through command prompt. You can use the below command.

On running the above command in Command prompt. It will display all the available adapters in your PC as shown in the below image. In my PC there is 2 adapters ‘Ethernet’ and ‘Wi-Fi’

3. Below commands will set your IP address static and mentioned DNS servers.

Below command will set the IP address.

In my example I have set it as below,

Below command will set the Preferred DNS Server.

In my example I have set it as below,

Below command will set the Alternate DNS Server.
